Knockout (G1)
| This article is about the Decepticon Micromaster. For the unaligned racer, see Knock Out (G1). For a list of other meanings, see Knockout (disambiguation). |
- Knockout is a Decepticon Micromaster from the Generation 1 continuity family.

The other members of the Constructor Squad keep an eye on Knockout. Not because they think he's a treacherous backstabber: he's as loyal as the rest of the squad. It's not because his enthusiasm gets him in over his head: his teammates actually find his enthusiasm motivating. And it's certainly not because he's a lazy slacker: he works as hard as any of them.
It's because he faints when he gets too excited.
So his teammates watch him, because the last thing you need in combat is an unconscious backhoe.[1]
Fiction
The Battle of the Star Gate
When Megatron confronted the two Starscreams on the Trigger, Knockout was part of his forces. When the Autobots arrived, the Decepticons battled them, till the Starscream of the future interrupted the battle by merging with the Trigger. In the ensuing conflict, the Trigger was destroyed and the Transformers were sent falling to the Earth, becoming lost. The Battle of the Star Gate
IDW Generation 1 continuity

Having fallen in with Gigatron's forces, Knockout grew disillusioned and had a mind to desert after watching them kill fellow Decepticons. Once Gigatron captured his old buddy Grit, he decided enough was enough and released Grit and his cellmates Drift and Ratchet and gave them their weapons back (their attempt at the old "pretend to be dead to trick to guard into coming in" failed to impress him). Grit then had Knockout go find a way off-planet while he went to take revenge on Hellbat. Empire of Stone #2
Toys
Generation 1

- Constructor Squad (Micromaster Combiner Squad, 1990)
- Knockout transforms into a backhoe truck trailer which is intended to be the rear half of a purple backhoe truck, which he forms with his combiner partner Grit. He can, of course, be connected to any other Micromaster Combiner or Combiner Transport to make a new vehicle.
- Knockout was only available in a six-pack with his squad mates Grit, Excavator, Hammer, Sledge and Stonecruncher.
- This toy was sold without changes in Japan as the Autobot Knockout. This mold was also used to make Gusher.
Notes
- The Toxic Transformer features a version of Knock Out that is mostly based on the IDW version of the character (which was in turn based on the Prime version) but with some elements of this Knockout.
