Policeman Pete was one of the first "mega class" figures released under the 1-2-3 Transformers line (2002), transforming from a robot to an blue, black, and white SUV police cruiser, in three steps.

Policeman Pete has two accessories, a police shield and a police baton/nightstick.

The main gimmicks of the 1-2-3 Transformers line are simplistic transformations and electronic sounds (and lights, in the case of Rescue Roy).

By pushing down on the badge-shaped button on the robot's chest/SUV's hood, Policeman Pete can say eight phrases while in robot mode:

  1. "Read 'em their rights, chief!"
  2. "Let's go, 911!"
  3. "We'll protect, serve and defend!"
  4. "We'll protect them from danger!"
  5. "You're a great backup!"
  6. "Let's catch the badguys!"
  7. "Hey partner, we're on patrol!"
  8. "When there's danger, we'll help!", in that order.

A separate set of sound effects and phrases are used while in SUV mode:

  1. Siren noise
  2. "Buckle up, we're in pursuit!"
  3. More Siren noise
  4. "Let's go to robot mode!", in that order.

In 2002, a repaint of Policeman Pete named Fire Marshal Mike was released.

In 2003, Policeman Pete was slightly redecoed and released as part of the Japanese "Rescue Hero Go-Bots" line, as Peat.
