The Traditionalists are a faction within the Human Confederacy. Presumably they take a traditional view on the development of their species.

Beast Wars: Uprising

The Traditionalists, along with their opposites, the Celestials, rose to prominence in the mid to late 24th century. The divide between the two factions continued to grow and by the 25th century, was large enough that it began sucking resources away from the Terran fleet. The schism eventually descended into a series of wars, later labelled as the Fall of Man, that resulted in the end of Terran Ascendency and heralded a new dark age for the species.
