Asia is Earth's largest continent. It is also the most diverse continent on the planet, encompassing all climate types and varieties of people. Asia is sometimes subdivided into the Far East (containing Burma, China, Indonesia, Japan, North and South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, the Philippines and Vietnam), the Middle East (Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Qatar) Southern Asia (India) and Western Asia (Russia).

In 1943, Japan and the United States fought in Guadalcanal as part of WWII. Starscream's Brigade Forty-two years later, Japanese scientist Dr. Fujiyama built Nightbird. Enter the Nightbird Later that year, Japan was menaced by Kremzeek, a Decepticon-created electrical creature who severely damaged the electronics manufacturing industry there. Kremzeek!

Some time in 2006 (2010 in the Japanese continuity), the Decepticons mounted a series of nonsensical attacks on Japan. Predaking and Devastator attacked Broadside in the Sea of Japan, upsetting local fishermen, while Astrotrain attempted to ram a bullet train, and Bruticus fought Defensor outside a dojo. Despite the able Autobot defense, the extensive damage caused the furious Prime Minister to turn into a racial stereotype.

After questioning his fitness for leadership (and managing to lose the Autobot Matrix of Leadership in a surprise attack), Rodimus Prime learned from the dojo sensei the lesson that he who deserts his obligations is already defeated. Prince Jumal, of the Iranian royal family, was deposed by Ali, a man working with the Decepticons in an attempt to take over the world. Aerial Assault

A solar power plant off the Malabar Coast in India was attacked by Decepticons as a diversion. The Ultimate Doom, Part 1 Twenty years later, Trypticon stole the Taj Mahal but pinned the theft on Metroplex. As it turned out, the Taj Mahal had been taken by Trypticon to Carbombya, and the Autobots were later able to return it. Thief in the Night

Super-God Masterforce cartoon

The Decepticons used bombs to force wild animals in Kenya into stampeding. They were eventually stopped by the Autobots. Panic! Protect the Wild Animals!!

The Decepticons invaded North Africa, leading to intense fighting. The Gathering Darkness

Generation 2 Annual

After planting a spaceship on Table Mountain in Africa, the Autobots tricked the Decepticons into entering it, after which the Autobots shot the vessel into space. Day of the Decepticons

Beast Wars cartoon

The Axalon and Darksyde appeared to have crash-landed somewhere in Africa at the beginning of the Beast Wars. The Maximals' alternate forms were all native to the continent; cheetahs, rhinos, rats are all found there, and gorillas are exclusive to Africa. Likewise, the human race emerged from Africa, making it the likely candidate for the location of the valley which the Predacons attacked in their first attempt to change history. Code of Hero

However, since both the Maximals and Predacons were capable of relatively quick long-distance travel Fallen Comrades The Agenda (Part III), it is not entirely clear where all events of the Beast Wars took place.

Cybertron cartoon

Vector Prime and the kids traveled to an area in the Sahara desert in search of the Omega Lock; they were then pursued by Starscream and Thundercracker. The Lock turned out to be a fake Time.

Live-action film series

The Veiled Threat

After a sighting of Starscream in Zambia, NEST sent a team of Autobots to investigate. Battles with the Decepticons ensued. The Veiled Threat

Titan Revenge of the Fallen comic

Bloemfontein, South Africa held both a NEST maximum security prison and the 2010 World Cup. By law of narrative, the Decepticons broke free of the prison at the same time the cup final was taking place, causing mayhem and forcing the Autobots to let the Decepticons leave. Inside Out!

Dark of the Moon film

The official Decepticon camping trip was not off to a rousing start; Starscream had already stolen all the marshmallows and blamed it on Soundwave.

Weakened after his defeat at the hands of Optimus Prime and the death of The Fallen, Megatron escaped with Starscream, Igor and Soundwave to Nambia, Africa, where he and the remnants of his army operated from a makeshift camp in secret. Dark of the Moon -->
