Talk:Longtooth
Cleanup
So yeah, this article could stand some serious improvement, but I think deleting it would be a tad extreme. TVsGrady 00:18, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- It has one sentence. 22 words. Most of which are pronouns. It explicitly list shis function, which we don't do, and doesn't talk about his personality or his abilities. It calls his altmode 'some sort of car,' which isn't even correct, he's an amphibious transport! 22 words, minus pronoins, minus function, minus incorrect information leaves the word 'Walrus-man'. -Derik 00:30, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- What? Derik, we need a Longtooth page. Deletion is for material that has no place having its own article, and every single named Transformers character certainly deserves one. Yes, it was created badly, but we don't go around deleting the character stubs we have because they're not good enough. Why would we? --Rotty 00:38, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- Or instead of marking it for deletion you could've added to it.
I admit it's subjective, but personally, I would rather have no article than an article that looks like this one did when it was created. I think marking awful stubs for deletion is reasonable. Yes, it would be even better to turn it into a real article. But that takes a lot more effort and whoever stumbles across the article might not have the time/inclination to do it. Simply marking an article for cleanup might not have any effect, and could leave the article languishing, in desperate need of attention, indefinitely. If it gets deleted, then at least it's no longer an embarassment. --Steve-o 14:25, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
