Scotty

Scotty is a Federation-aligned human from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Despite claims to the contrary, he is most certainly not a miracle worker, and he cannot change the laws of physics.

Scotty is the chief engineer on the starship Enterprise.

Star Trek vs. Transformers

Scotty was present on the Enterprise when it detected a distress signal from the dilithium mining colony on Cygnus Seven, staying behind as Captain Kirk took a team to investigate. Later, Kirk called Scotty and Doctor McCoy to join him on the surface and attempt to repair a giant robot that he had incapacitated. Running diagnostics on the machine, Scotty was amazed to find how similar its internal circuitry was to a human brain. Prime's Directive, Part One

• According to Transformers: Cybertron writer David McDermott, the engineering-minded residents of Gigantion were all given Scottish accents in homage to Scotty.
