Tankor's creation, Whirl, sought out to take some humans hostage as part of his rampage. Coming across an innocent girl, Whirl had a change of heart and rebelled against Tankor, to the consternation of his comrade, Roadbuster. With the girl in his canopy, Whirl proclaimed that he would smash all evildoers, but the girl reprimanded him for wanting to smash things. Bonus Edition Vol. 4
The girl was with Whirl as they bemusedly watched Tankor and Roadbuster giving out gifts for Christmas. Merry X'mas!! Later, Whirl came across Roadbuster, who was angry at Whirl for turning on Tankor. Before the two could fight, Whirl put the girl into his canopy to prevent Roadbuster from attacking. Annoyed at the actions of her "friend", the girl took control of him from within and forced him to pick up trash. Whirl Versus Roadbuster!
Whirl eventually left the Legends Universe, but later returned with his new commander, Springer. His friend was estatic about his return and hitched a ride inside him when he attended Springer's rebuilding by Rhinox. LG19 Sprung Prologue
