Scylla pines for Scuba while Bighorn pines for Scylla.

Synopsis

Twice the leaves means twice the luck.

At the ruined photon sailer, Scylla pines over the handsome squid she met the other day, realizing her love for him. Meanwhile, Bighorn is hunting for a four-leaf clover in a field and finds one, believing good luck will come to him.

At the Galvaburg II, Galvatron and his subordinates discuss the burst of energy detected by the Sea Continent, and Thrust and Dirge are sent to investigate. At the photon sailer, Halfshell bemoans the lack of spare parts to fix the ship, but the Seacons soon spot Thrust and Dirge flying overhead. The pirates shoot at the Combatrons, and attempt to merge, but Scylla is missing! The two Predacons are unsure of what they're trying to do, but leave the scene, satisfied with the pictures they've taken.

Scylla is on land, with a "love letter chip" that she intends to give to Scuba so that they may fall madly in love with each other... or so she thinks. At the Moon, Artemis doesn't take well to competition for Scuba's affections. At the Maximal camp, Lio Convoy orders his troops to investigate the Seacons more closely, especially after their last plot to suck up Angolmois energy from Gaia's seafloor. Tasmania Kid is assigned to patrol with Diver and Bighorn, the latter of which has turned the clover he found into a pedant for his tail.

This is only going to make the internet ship them harder.

While drifting in a river, Scuba comes face-to-face with the love-struck Scylla. Unfortunately for Scylla, though, all of her shows of devotion just arouse suspicion in the Maximal, including thinking her love letter is a bomb. Scylla just takes it in stride, assuming that her object of affection is just shy and opens herself up to a kiss. Scuba suspects a trap and takes off, leaving Scylla broken-hearted. Things take a turn for the worse when Bighorn spots and becomes infatuated with the "Squid Lady". Sea Phantom finds her and orders her back to the ship, and she refuses till Bighorn charges in to "defend" Scylla from Sea Phantom. Not understanding his true intentions, the two Seacons retreat into the water. Bighorn tries chasing after them till Tasmania Kid reminds him that he can't swim. After being pulled out of the river, Bighorn concocts a narrative about how "Squid Lady" is princess from another planet and was taken hostage by the Seacons. Thus, it's up to him to rescue her!

At the Predacon base, Galvatron reviews the pictures of the Seacons, commending their combat potential. Suspecting they know something about the Angolmois energy, the Predacon leader sends Starscream and BB to make contact with the pirates. At the beach, Bighorn runs after the photon sailer; Tasmania Kid and Diver try to stop him, to no avail, and the three are soon attacked by Terrormander. Bighorn uses his might to throw him into the sea, and Sea Phantom attacks the bull next. Scylla watches the scene, thinking Bighorn off in the distance is Scuba to come and take her off her feet. Powered by love, Bighorn runs across the surface of water, to Scylla's aghast realization at her confusion. She furiously attacks the Maximal with her Scylasers and Blowing Kiss of Death. Bighorn misunderstands the purpose of the kiss and leaps up to meet it with his face. It summarily blows up, sending Bighorn sinking into the ocean and requiring Diver to rescue him.

At the beach, the two conscious Maximals go head to head with the Seacons, who merge into God Neptune... and find too late that Scylla is absent again! Having hunted down Scuba, Scylla again professes her love, but just gets missiles to the face, to Artemis's delight. All five pirates finally merge into God Neptune and attack the Maximals. Starscream and BB show up at the scene, assisting the Seacons, while Apache and Lio Convoy pop up to hold off God Neptune. The increased firepower scares off the Predacon duo, and the Maximals retreat. God Neptune attempts to give chase, but finds himself without a leg again! Scylla has taken a moment by herself to tearfully see Scuba off.

The Seacons regroup on their ship and realize that there're two factions on the planet and that one could be useful to get spare parts for their ship from. The Maximals likewise regroup and vow to prevent the Seacons and Predacons from joining forces. Bighorn is off to the side, though, still longing after his Squid Lady.

Artemis & Moon II Report

Moon explains to Artemis how God Neptune's combination works: Halfshell serves as the torso while the four other Seacons form limbs. Artemis is still sour over Scylla's attempted wooing of Scuba and takes whatever chance she can to insult her.

Trivia

  • The original Japanese title uses "イカした" (Ika shita). This is a pun—the phrase means "cool" or "amazing" (it's where the slang term ikemen or "hunk" comes from), while ika means "squid". This is difficult to translate into English, as attested by the title of this article.
