The powerful sonic cannons are the primary armament of the Decepticon Soundwave. Unfortunately, they do not function in the vacuum of space, where Soundwave spends most of his time.

During the battle in Chicago, Soundwave wielded handheld Sonic cannons in his battle with Bumblebee. Ultimately, Bumblebee proved to be too fast to hit and Soundwave was killed. Dark of the Moon
