Janine Melnitz is a Ghostbusters-affiliated human from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Janine Melnitz is the Ghostbusters' secretary, taking calls from clients and sending the team on jobs. Given all the paranormal encounters she's had since being hired, there's not much that fazes her anymore, but when things break or go wrong, she's usually the one that has to clean up the mess.

She doesn't get paid nearly enough for this.

• Janine appeared in the Ghostbusters chapters of IDW's Infestation and The X-Files: Conspiracy crossover events.
• In later seasons of The Real Ghostbusters, Janine was voiced by Kath Soucie.
