The army of Decepticons teleported in at the end of the episode are of course instantly recognizable as being based off of Tarn, the zealtous leader of the Decepticon Justice Division. Considering what we learn of where they come from next episode, he'd probably appreciate the compliment.
The other two Insecticons Shrapnel is with are called "Bombshell" and "Kickback" despite sharing Sharpnel's model. This could also be a reference to Transformers: Prime where all the Insecticons shared the same model. The fact they betray Megatron and fly off is also a reference to the original cartoon where the trio often acted as a rogue splinter faction.
