Medix is sure he has a list for every possible emergency ever. To teach him the value of improvising in the moment, his mentor, Blades, has him look after a very unpredictable dog.
Synopsis
An out-of-control spacecraft hurtles towards the Asgard. Blades and Medix GroundBridge on board and Blades waits to see what his student will do. Medix has a specific list of instructions for the situation and runs through it, bringing the spaceship under control and avoiding a collision. The simulation ends, and Medix reveals he has a list for every possible situation he might encounter. Cody arrives, searching for Heatwave, and Medix is initially confused by the idea Cody has to feed Heatwave, but it turns out he's looking after Heatwave the dog. Cody's having to miss out on a trip to the aquarium as there are no pets allowed there, however Blades volunteers Medix to look after the dog so Cody can go. Medix is prepared and has a number of lists for caring for animals. Cody hands him a backpack and heads to the aquarium.
Medix takes Heatwave outside and attempts to take him for a walk, however the dog is less interested in following the list and more interested in the backpack. Medix eventually decides Heatwave has had enough exercise and takes him for the next list item—food. He constructs a healthy homemade meal, but Heatwave is still more interested in the backpack and turns his nose up at the food. The dog manages to overturn the table, covering Medix with food and prompting the arrival of cleaning bots, which Heatwave immediately begins chasing. Blades finds Medix sitting in a corridor having lost the dog and suggests rather than relying on his lists, he goes with the flow. Medix tries following a cleaning bot and the pair find Heatwave, who has some specific ideas on what he wants to do. Medix lets the dog take the lead.
Cody finds Medix and Heatwave going walkies in Hero Hall, and the pair demonstrate how they've learned to play dead. Cody's impressed by how well Medix has managed, and takes Heatwave home. Medix is glad everything is back to normal now, which means nothing unexpected is going to happen, which is the cue for Blades to slip over on a Rubber Ducky.

- The out of control spaceship is based on Cosmos, with specific detailing from his Generations toy. Although given Rescue Bots Academy shares designs with Cyberverse, it's also possible it's a straight translation of Cyberverse Cosmos's vehicle mode.
