Livia is an alien Space Knight from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Adjutant online. Good morning, Captain.

Wielding shoulder-mounted cannons and Neutralizers, Livia takes her crusade against the Dire Wraiths very seriously. But while her friend and fellow Space Knight Rom might occasionally bend the rules in the service of the greater good, Livia prefers to adhere to the protocols and laws of the Solstar Order—even if it means making sacrifices in the name of the greater good.

Hailing from the planet Elonia, Livia and Rom were childhood friends. She joined the Space Knights at the same time as Rom after Dire Wraiths invaded their world, and was one of the first to bond with the mysterious ore that would go on to become the armor of the Solstar Order. Livia profile in Hasbro Heroes Sourcebook #2

In the mid-19th century, Livia, Rom, and new recruits Sata and Auxin travelled to Mining Colony 25-6-41 in response to reports of a Dire Wraith infestation. The Space Knights used their Energy Analyzers to flush out the Wraiths one by one, learning that Cybertronian Knight recruit Stardrive had already been staking out the planet in her alternate mode. When the battle was over, Livia argued that the colony would have to be destroyed, but Stardrive and Rom managed to convince her to stand down.

Nevertheless, Stardrive accompanied them for their next mission: a trip to the fringes of Solstar Space to negotiate with the Galactic Council. En route to the planet Xetaxxis, Rom and Livia bickered about Stardrive's idealism, with Livia arguing that Rom's relationship with the orphaned Transformer had made him soft. Arriving at Orchid Crossing the two senior Knights visited Stardrive in her quarters to reveal the real reason why they had brought her along: to show that the Solstar Order could keep Cybertronians "in their place." The next morning, the five Knights met with representatives from the Council... only to learn that they had been lured into a trap set by a Dire Wraith-Decepticon alliance. In the ensuing battle, Livia managed to take out Ursa Major before being seized by a vengeful Thrust. Shining Armor #1

Freeing herself from the Seeker, she engaged him in a dogfight before Sky Blast was partially assimilated by a Dire Wraith. After a sarcastic quip, she joined her fellow Knights in fighting off the hybrid while the crew evacuated. When Ultra Magnus disabled the station's power however, the Knights evacuated and Livia glimpsed Stardrive rescue Magnus and Bumblebee convincing her that the young femme had defected. After she and Rom (again) argued about Stardrive, the three Knights tracked down their errant comrade with Rom shooting Magnus into stasis lock and offering Bumblebee a chance to surrender. Magnus survived however and it soon became apparent that the Autobots and Space Knights were both on the side of good. Livia soon proposed however that Xetaxxis be sterilized of all life before Stardrive informed the Autobots that the Decepticons were after her energon synthesizer. With Rom and Stardrive, Livia flew ahead to the remains of Orchid Crossing. No sooner had they arrived did they come under assault by the Decepticon Seekers. Shining Armor #3 The small size and speed of the Space Knights however allowed them to triumph. In the brief respite, Livia proposed detonating the energon synthesizer to sterilize only half the planet. The sheer hypocrisy of the act finally exhausted Stardrive's patience who took the synthesizer and tried to abandon the order of Space Knights. Livia shot out the femme's engine which only served to invite the Camien to ram Livia into a collection of vines before she was talked down. By the time Livia extradited herself, Vekktral had managed to possess Ultra Magnus and ordered his troops to turn on the Decepticons. Shining Armor #4 For a brief moment, all factions turned joined against the Dire Wraiths only for the Decepticons to make for the synthesizer. Stardrive followed them with Livia trailing the cadet and critiquing her lack of social skills. When Starscream detonated the synthesizer, Livia prevented Stardrive from halting the wavefront, retreating to the safety of orbit. After Stardrive properly abandoned the Space Knights and Bumblebee returned home, Livia promoted Sata to a fully-fledged Knight and began training more cadets. Shining Armor #5

After the Space Knights began to travel in areas of the galaxy more frequented by Cybertronians, Livia became familiar with the Decepticon Warworlds, Our Darkest and witnessed a Torchbearer find romance with an organic lifeform. Asymmetric Warfare

In 2018, Elonia came under attack from Unicron. Though convinced Unicron was a Cybertronian trick, particularly after glimpsing Velocitron's remains on the entity's maw, Livia nonetheless joined her fellow Knights in attacking the Chaos Bringer. They were soundly defeated by a single blow of energy, the attack knocking Livia unconscious and burning the armor off her limbs. After Unicron had consumed Elonia, Livia's prone form was recovered by Sata, Our Darkest and brought to Cybertron to recover. Ad Infinitum

Their refuge was short lived however for Unicron soon came to Cybertron and overpowered its defences. Via the magic of the Spectral Knights, Livia was teleported to Earth, reuniting with Rom, who'd made the trip via space bridge. Road's End Livia stood by Rom when the forces of Earth attacked the Decepticon Vengeance Division. Assembly Once Unicron had been destroyed, Livia and Rom tended to an Elonian child who'd been orphaned by the crisis where they realized that the Space Knights would have to take on new roles in the era they found themselves in.
