Notes
- As a seminal time-travel story in Western culture, Back to the Future has had its share of influences on Transformers. To name a few:
- The ninth part of the Marvel UK story "Target: 2006" and the Rescue Bots episode "Bot to the Future" homage the film's title.
- Rescue Bots features a solar car inspired by the iconic DeLorean time machine and the Cybertron episode "Hero" references a "flux-capacitor".
- The Dark of the Moon incarnation of Wheeljack has a head design inspired by Doc Brown.
- Vector Prime's enjoyment of Eric Stoltz in Back to the Future is a play on the film's production cycle, in which Stoltz was initially cast as protagonist Marty McFly before being fired and replaced by Michael J. Fox only weeks after filming began.
