First revealed in late-2020 at Hasbro PulseCon, War for Cybertron: Kingdom is a toyline in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Beast Wars and the 35th anniversary of The Transformers: The Movie. A first for any toyline, this subline is generally split between “Generation 1” characters and those from Beast Wars. As a direct continuation of Siege and Earthrise, Kingdom carries over the C.O.M.B.A.T. System, meaning most toys feature 3 mm and 5 mm posts to accommodate the weapons and the effect parts from War for Cybertron Trilogy and other toylines. Due to the realistic animal modes, Beast Wars characters only utilize the C.O.M.B.A.T. System in robot mode.
Not too dissimilar to Power of the Primes, all figures from Deluxe Class upwards include Golden Disk cards with three different variants, each revealing a different destiny for the character.
This item is currently scheduled for release, but is not yet available at mass retail.
Notes
In July 2020, Chapter 1 of the War for Cybertron Trilogy cartoon, Siege, was promoted with several motion posters highlighting members of the main cast. In each of these posters, a letter from the "Ancient Autobot" alphabet created by Jim Sorenson can be seen flashing in the background. When the letters are put in order, they spell out and officially reveal, the trilogy's final subline, ‘’Kingdom’’.[1]
In August 2020, various photos of toys were leaked to the public, along with Walmart listings revealing much of the general retail toyline.
