Project Black Knife is a cancelled project from the Revenge of the Fallen portion of the live-action film continuity family.

Project: Black Knife was conceived by Sector 7 in response to many human technology showing high energy readings. However it brought their members to nowhere in the end.

Sector Seven discovered strange energy readings from various vehicles and forms of technology all across the globe, so the organization commissioned Project: Black Knife to investigate. They discovered Cyberglyphics inscribed on ruins across the planet, raising the possibility that there may be aliens lying inert on the planet; however, this evidence was deemed inconclusive since at the time they didn't knew that these readings were actually from the ancient Seekers who were sent by The Fallen in his search for the Matrix of Leadership, and so the project ceased operation and Sector Seven switches its focus onto other classified research. These energy readings . Years later Agent Simmons begged Sector Seven to continue their research into Project: Black Knife, but his superiors would believe him to be obsessed and ignored his wishes. Before Sector Seven was shut down, however, Simmons copied as much research as he could, including the files relating to Project: Black Knife, which became of interest to the Autobots and their human allies during Sam's search for the Matrix.
