- Gigatron is a Decepticon Powermaster from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Gigatron is a remorseless Decepticon. Able to damage the regenerative capabilities of Autobots and rapidly generate weapons from his internal arms factory, Gigatron is possibly the most powerful Powermaster, perhaps even surpassing Optimus Prime.[1]
Fiction
Dreamwave Generation One continuity
Gigatron was an ancient Cybertronian, who developed an idea to allow Decepticons to survive on alien planets by biologically integrating local inhabitants into their systems. In modern times, Gigatron's records were uncovered and used to develop the Powermaster process. More than Meets the Eye #8
Ask Vector Prime
While explaining the convoluted nature of the Primax 785.06 Alpha system, Vector Prime noted how in some versions of the system's history, Devil Z stole eight transtectors from G Nebula 89, including ones intended as bodies for the noble Optimus Prime and the remorseless Gigatron, with Gigatron's transtector becoming Overlord. Vector Prime also stated that he had encountered Primax 603.0 Beta's Gigatron, whom he identified as having transmorphic regenerative abilities. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/05/31

Heroes of Cybertron

- Powermaster Gigatron (2003)
- Released in the third wave of Heroes of Cybertron, Gigatron is a slightly-altered version of the Super Collection Figure Overlord PVC, featuring rounded-off shoulder-cones for safety reasons. He is cast in clear red plastic painted over, leaving his eyes and the back of his head unpainted to attempt a light-piping effect.
- He also came with the left arm of the wave's Fortress Maximus build-a-figurine.
Notes

- Overlord was a new character created for the 1988 Japanese Super God Masterforce series. While all his fellow Godmasters had American Powermaster counterpart characters (Ginrai had Optimus Prime, Lightfoot had Getaway, and so forth), Overlord did not have an American counterpart until 2003, when the Heroes of Cybertron line introduced "Gigatron" (although in all fairness, his original toy was released in Europe in 1991, under its original name).
