Strikedown is an Autobot from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Cans on high shelves are no match for Strikedown's powers.

Strikedown is kind of a jerk. He takes his name as literally as possible–when his teammates on the Metro Squad come up with a plan or an idea, Strikedown will immediately outline the myriad ways that their idea will go wrong and explain to them why they should just forget about it. This behavior annoys his comrades to no end, even if they know that Strikedown is just trying to help, but Strikedown is so committed to pooh-poohing every plan and tactic that comes his way that he's shot down legitimately good ideas without even knowing.

Fortunately, Strikedown is just as selfless and heroic on the battlefield as the best of the Autobots. He'll shoot down Decepticons with the same determination he uses to snipe his teammate's tactics, and his heroism more than makes up for his pessimism in the eyes of his Micromaster squadmates.[1]

His combiner partner on the Metro Squad is Power Run.

Fiction

Beast Wars: Uprising

Strikedown was a Micromaster serving on the Builder front lines during the Grand Uprising. In contested Tesarus, he rebuilt defensive lines over and over for his commander Erector, protecting against a frontal assault by the Pack. Derailment

Toys

Generation 1

Whatever it is, I'm against it!
  • Metro Squad (Micromaster Combiner Squad, 1990)
Strikedown transforms into the rear half of a white and black hovercraft that he forms with his combiner partner Power Run. He can, of course, combine with any other Micromaster Combiner to form a new vehicle, as well as connect to any Micromaster Combiner Transport, but really, combining him with anyone else than Power Run totally makes no sense at all in his case. Strikedown was only available in a six-pack with his squadmates Power Run, Oiler, Slide, Roadburner and Wheel Blaze.

Return of Convoy

  • Radar Hover W Team (Micro Trailer Team, 1991)
    • Japanese ID number: C-366
    • Accessories: Micro Trailer #6
In Japan, Strikedown came as part of the Radar Hover W Team, with Power Run, Barrage, and Heave. The toys are identical to their Hasbro releases. The Team also came with a Micro Trailer.
