The Night Rescue Team trio were loyal to Hacksaw, the Dinobot Mini-Con second-in-command to Modus Prime. They were called in to battle a blaze when a team escorting Modus Prime and Broadside through an inspection of Altihex’s abandoned Energon refinery was caught in an explosion. The Night Rescue Team tried to contain the blaze best they could upon arrival. Despite their efforts, Modus Prime perished in the explosion. Upon inspecting the remains of the suspected assassin, an Autobot Bulk, Strongarm’s words were twisted around by Broadside into starting a panic over a "madness-disease." The carcass was destroyed nearly immediately to "avoid contamination," though Strongarm managed to have a long enough look at it to suspect Broadside was lying about the sequence of events that had led to their leader's death.
The Night Rescue team next attended a meeting at Hacksaw’s request where it was determined that a conspiracy to get rid of Modus Prime had taken place. Hacksaw ordered the Night Rescue Team to stay put while he went out to further investigate the plot. The Night Rescue team was tasked with keeping the ongoing reconstruction of Cybertron organized, to keep appearances that everything was still going smoothly under Hacksaw's administration. Hacksaw persihed as well shortly afterwards. Divebomb, Firebot and Strongarm learned that Broadside had orchestrated both murders to gain control of Cybertron. Alongside others loyal to Hacksaw, they stormed Broadside during a planet-wide announcement to reveal this to their fellow Mini-Cons. Unfortunately, Broadside had already swayed much of the population to his way of thinking, and in-fighting began among the once-peaceful Mini-Cons. The New World
