The name or term "Bruno" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Bruno (disambiguation).

Bruno Magne is a French actor and musician specialized in dubbing.

He started as a musician, playing by night and working by day, before one of his friends adviced him to start theater. He then took dramatic art classes during 3 years, while attending several dubbing sessions, before being chosen to dub some characters.

Nowadays he is one of the French voices of Chris Gauthier, Elliot Cowan and Zak Orth in several TV series, but his main activity is cartoon and videogame dubbing.

His most famous roles in animation are Map and Swiper in Dora the Explorer, Franky in One Piece, Hector in the Rio animated films and Mendoza in the new seasons of The Mysterious Cities of Gold. In videogames, his voice roles include Graves and Rengar in League of Legends, Jason Hudson in the Call of Duty: Black Ops games and Holden Cross in For Honor.

He took over the role of the Innkeeper in Hearthstone, after Pierre-Alain de Garrigues.

Notes

  • 4 episodes of the Generation 1 cartoon (Child's Play, The Dweller in the Depths, Only Human and The Face of the Nijika) were dubbed (or re-dubbed?) late in France, maybe because the original episodes were lost, not usable or maybe even not dubbed at all.
  • For the release of the The Battle Begins pack-in disc, containing the first part of Transform and Roll Out, all the roles of Bruno Magne are dubbed by Pascal Casanova. Magne will take the roles for the TV broadcast dub of the episode and for the rest of the series.
  • For unknown reasons, the role of Wreck-Gar in Transformers Animated was taken over by Frédéric Popovic for the character's second appearance in the series (in Human Error, Part II), despite Magne being present in the episode to dub his other regular characters.
  • In the third season of Animated, a vocal effect was added on Soundwave's voice, but it is so strong that it is difficult to tell if it's still Magne dubbing him.
