After arriving in 2015 via Doc Brown's DeLorean time machine, Rumble found that the Decepticons had been defeated. Stealing the time machine, he travelled to 1974, enslaving Biff Tannen, and began building a stockpile of energon cubes until 1984. Transformers/Back to the Future #2
