Even if I'm not who I'm supposed to be... I like who I am right now.

Adopted by the Malto family, Thrash Malto is a Terran, one of the first of a new generation of Transformers born on Earth along with his sister Twitch. Closest to Mo, the two of them are fast friends, goofing off and playing games together. Thrash would do anything for her, and even his motorcycle-and-sidecar alternate mode was inspired by her old bike. While his connection is strongest with Mo, the four siblings' emotions are all connected through the mysterious cyber-sleeves.

While fun-loving and carefree may be positive traits much of the time, they are also Thrash's greatest flaws. He's easily bored, hates rules, and has a tendency to end up doing the opposite of what he's told. He means well, but it can leave his newfound family frustrated and picking up the pieces of the mess he's inadvertently created.

Thrash and Twitch were created in a cave on Earth when Robby and Mo Malto came into contact with the Emberstone. After an attack by Arachnamechs, the two kids smuggled the newborns home where they have their father Alex explain the history of the Transformers so Thrash and Twitch could overhear. Secret Legacy, Part 1 While playing in the forest, Twitch gained an alternate mode, inspiring Thrash to go with Mo in search of something to take as his own alternate mode. Their search was initially fruitless and the pair were attacked by an Arachnamech. They, joined by Twitch and Robby, were rescued by Optimus Prime and Elita-1, however the Autobot leader's attempt to have the two Terrans protected by G.H.O.S.T. resulted in them being captured by Mandroid. Another rescue was mounted, during which Thrash scanned a motorcycle alternate mode in the process of protecting Robby, Mo and Alex. Following the battle, Dot Malto opted to take them under her protection, with Optimus assigning Bumblebee as their tutor. Secret Legacy, Part 2

When Bumblebee attempted to begin training the Terrans, Thrash asserted that they didn't need the scout's help, only to find he couldn't transform. Bee went on to participate in Family Game Night with the Terrans and their adopted family, only to result in Twitch storming out and accidentally releasing a herd of cows. With Bee's help, Thrash was able to transform and with Mo, rounded up the cows. Moo-ving In After Twitch and Thrash accidentally damaged the kitchen while fighting over a flag, Dot and Alex went over the house rules. Thrash chafed at being banned from the house, and after he and Mo were grounded for breaking the rules, he talked Mo into violating their grounding. The pair headed into town where they encountered Swindle who talked them into helping him try to find Hardtop. Swindle inevitably showed his true colors, turning on Thrash and Mo when they refused to break into a G.H.O.S.T. truck, and once Dot and Bumblebee drove the Decepticon off, Thrash apologized for breaking the rules. House Rules

The Terrans and their kid partners paid a visit to Dot's ranger station work, but G.H.O.S.T. activity resulted in them having to try to keep a low profile, which ended up with them falling into a trap intended for Decepticons, at which point Thrash and Mo found out that Twitch and Robby had sneaked out the night before and encountered a G.H.O.S.T. patrol, which had caused their current situation. Optimus extracted them from the trap and hid them in his trailer in the G.H.O.S.T. base, only for them to venture out and become temporarily stuck in one of Megatron's training sims. They were able to complete the sim by working together, and Optimus later smuggled them out of the base. Classified Thrash and Twitch listened to Alex's story about the dreaded Wakwak. The following day, Thrash constructed a makeshift guitar and Mo taught him how to play it. While the pair were demonstrating Thrash's newfound musical skill to Dot and Alex, Twitch introduced them to Wheeljack. Traditions

The two Terrans found themselves increasingly experiencing malfunctions while training with Bumblebee, which they put down to emotional overflow from Robby and Mo, who were about to start their first day of school. After Bumblebee took the Terrans to school as a scouting mission, their emotional link caused the kids to experience motor control malfunctions as well, resulting in Robby telling them to go home. Twitch, however, slipped into a zombie-like state and Thrash followed her into the forest, until eventually he found he was too low on energy to continue. Bee and the kids found him, and Bee applied an energon patch after scanning him and finding his energon levels were low. Despite this, Thrash lapsed into the same zombie-like state as Twitch. After Twitch blasted the ground and sent the group plunging into a cave, the two Terrans became so low on energy, they went into a form of stasis lock. Fortunately, as it turned out, the water in the cave was able to restore their energy completely. Friends and Family During another training session, Bumblebee turned teaching duties over to Arcee, who forced the Terrans and kids to do tasks until they rebelled. Arcee took the group into battle against Soundwave and they were successful in helping Bumblebee take down the three cassette-bots. Decoy

During a G.H.O.S.T. ceremony, Twitch and Thrash were forced to stay home with Bumblebee to maintain the secrecy of their existence. As a result, the pair were unable to help the Maltos when Skywarp and Nova Storm attacked G.H.O.S.T. Learning of the origins of the Terrans, Optimus decided it was time to investigate further and had the Terrans and kids lead him to the cave where Twitch and Thrash were originally born. Alex, Robby, Mo and the Terrans ventured inside and retrieved the Emberstone, however Skywarp and Nova Storm returned with Arachnamechs aiming to capture Optimus. Those small enough retreated underground, only to be followed by Mandroid's mechanical drones, and witnessed the birth of three new Terrans. Age of Evolution, Part 1 After successfully escaping the cave, the family regrouped with Optimus and Bumblebee to come up with a plan to rescue Dot and Megatron, who had been captured by Mandroid. The new Terrans posed as bounty hunters, bringing in Optimus, Twitch and Thrash as prisoners. Unfortunately Mandroid immediately saw through the scheme and unleashed his giant mech. Thrash rode in Optimus's vehicle mode, helping provide covering fire as the group took out the mech's external cameras. While Twitch destroyed the mech's cannon, Thrash used his shield to protect Robby, Mo and Jawbreaker. In the aftermath of the battle, the family was reunited with three new members.
