Notes

  • Metrobase was originally, in what was for a long time its one illustrated appearance (seen at the top of this article) drawn to resemble the Autobot Titan Metroplex. Its white, blue, and burgundy coloration, meanwhile, was similar, but not identical, to the Metroplex redeco Metrotitan.
  • Metrobase's deco appears to have been inspired by the Metroplex toy with light-blue parts that appeared in a diorama display on the back of Zone-era toy packaging released in the Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers toyline (right), advertising the Micromasters. Whether this was an early mock-up of Metrotitan or an actual Metrobase toy is uncertain, as the diorama display notably lacks the Decepticon Race Track Patrol Team (the only Micromaster team released in Japan as Decepticons).
  • For the appearance in "Metrowars", Metrobase's color palette was revised to a more distinct lilac-based scheme, one of those previously used by Guido Guidi in the fleet of Titans seen briefly in the The Transformers: More than Meets the Eye annual.
