Shouldn't kingdom Blaster be under wave 1 voyager class? Tylerwu (talk) 12:08, 7 December 2021 (EST)
- No, because he's getting a release in Kingdom, so he goes there. If/when a Blaster Legacy repack is announced, THEN it will be placed in the appropriate Legacy wave. McBaggins (talk) 21:43, 11 December 2021 (EST)
name
Why isn't this Transformers: Legacy, like most other franchises? --MistaTee (talk) 22:51, 13 January 2022 (EST)
Is there some other Transformers: Legacy that this needs to be disambiguated with? Saix (talk) 13:40, 25 January 2022 (EST)
- We already have the tag to this Legacy (disambiguation). --MistaTee (talk) 18:26, 25 January 2022 (EST)
- "Transformers: Legacy" is not the same thing as "Legacy". Saix (talk) 18:40, 25 January 2022 (EST)
- See this for a similar disambig: Energon (disambiguation). --MistaTee (talk) 18:45, 25 January 2022 (EST)
- Okay, clearly you're not understanding. I'm talking about the "(toyline)" in the title of the article. Saix (talk) 18:47, 25 January 2022 (EST)
- I assume the disambig tag was included by instinct in anticipation of tie-in media which has not yet been proven to exist. S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 18:53, 25 January 2022 (EST)

G2 Universe Jhiaxus insignia
Currently, G2 Universe Jhiaxus is listed here as a G2 Decepticon, but would it not make more sense that the non-purple insignia on his chest is supposed to represent the Cybertronian Empire and not the G2 Decepticons? --Dinobot Scorn (talk) 19:05, 15 April 2022 (EDT)
- I'd agree, but it doesn't really matter.ChristalIsMe (talk) 11:52, 19 September 2022 (EDT)
Transmetal II Megatron Insignia
Transmetal II Megatron is listed using the Prime sigil for Predacons, and not the correct Beast Wars sigil.
Velocitron Speedia line
Hey, so I've seen both info and pictures from various sources (most notably tfw2005) regarding a subline for legacy called the Velocitron Speedia 500 Collection. It has (so far) Voyager Class Cybertron Override (new mold) and Voyager Class Road Hauler (redeco and new head retool of ER Grapple). There's a full review for the former, as well as inbox images of both. Are we going to add this or are we waiting for something?Metalstar (talk) 16:53, 6 June 2022 (EDT)
- We only cover materials that have been officially revealed - not leaked or stolen. --Thylacine 2000 (talk) 17:03, 6 June 2022 (EDT)

How should I word them, if at all?Poliwag06 (talk) 20:16, 31 January 2023 (EST)
Snarl
Do we KNOW for sure that Dinobot #6 is going to be Snarl? The fact that he's all by himself in wave 7 and has no other wave 7 stuff or pictures feels a little sketchy, but I don't want to assume. ThatGuy79 (talk) 17:14, 22 February 2023 (EST)
- We literally have a citation for it from a Hasbro designer. It's fine. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 17:31, 22 February 2023 (EST)
- Gotcha. Sorry. ThatGuy79 (talk) 18:00, 22 February 2023 (EST)
Maybe smoosh "Evolution" up in with the first year
I'll be honest, I'm not sold on keeping the Evolution portion of this line as a separate subheader, for a few reasons.
- 1) We're already calling it a subline imprint, which we've historically not split out into their own subheaders. And it's not like there was a major theming change like with Earthrise/Kingdom. Hell, we already have Evo waves start with "wave 4" and whatnot.
- 2) Layout-wise, being able to put the Leaders/Commanders/Titans from both years into single sections would kill a LOT of dead empty space.
I'm thinking just roll the Evo stuff up, merge the descriptor paragraphs, mark Evo waves with (Evolution) in the table headers. I'm not remotely adamant about this, just mulling as page layout/accessibility is always in my mind. Maybe I'll sandbox it. --M Sipher (talk) 20:05, 10 March 2023 (EST)
- User:M_Sipher/Sandbox:_LegacySmoosh - Sandbox'd! --M Sipher (talk) 20:48, 10 March 2023 (EST)
- I definitely prefer the page being like that, seems less cluttered in my opinion.--CyclonustheWarrior (talk) 21:15, 10 March 2023 (EST)
- Okay so like... giving it a couple more days, but if no-one can come up with a decent counter to why we shouldn't compress the page as shown in the sandbox, I'll be going ahead and doing so. Oh, and we'd treat whatever follows the same way, assuming 2024 is another "Legacy _____" line. --M Sipher (talk) 19:35, 13 March 2023 (EDT)
- I'm inclined to agree on this. The dividing line between Legacy and Legacy: Evolution seems much finer than between the toylines of the previous "Generations trilogies": the logo is still "LEGACY" in the biggest letters with "Evolution" as a subtitle (versus e.g. SIEGE/EARTHRISE/KINGDOM being the headline with War for Cybertron as a subtitle), the assortments it's being shipped in have continued from Legacy rather than starting afresh, and there's no big change in theming or story, just a new packaging colour and a new barely-there gimmick. If the structure of Legacy as a line becomes more complex somehow in future we could revisit it, but for now I don't think there'd be much harm in running the lists together and having a bit up top like "Legacy toys ostensibly have Energon weapons, Evolution toys ostensibly have Evo-Fusion weapons". Jalaguy (talk) 04:28, 14 March 2023 (EDT)
- Disagree. I think we shouldn't ignore the opportunity to draw a line under a previous year's product marked by a gimmick, logo, and entire packaging change, lest this page become an out-of-order wall of text like Studio Series. Sure it's not a sea change like in the Prime Wars or War for Cybertron Trilogies, but a delineation is a delineation. TheLastGherkin (talk) 05:46, 14 March 2023 (EDT)
- Yeah I don't necessarily disagree with this, and certainly if Legacy wound up lasting more than three years I'd definitely be in favour of section splits, the Studio Series page absolutely has become a bit of an achronological bastard. Ultimately my personal key issue is just that Legacy should be on one article, I wouldn't be too cut up about either approach in terms of how this one article is organised. Jalaguy (talk) 08:47, 14 March 2023 (EDT)
- Thing is, virtually all of that also applies to, like, The Unicron Battles and The Powerlinx Battles from Armada/Energon. Packaging change, logo, ostensible minor gimmick change in the Energon one, and I would absolutely argue against splitting those out into separate subsections. I don't like making readers pagebounce for info, especially if it results in more and more wasted empty vertical space, and we've had problems with people over-subheadering in the past. And Studio is the Spiders Georg of the modern TF toy output, I kinda have a hard time seeing Legacy get anywhere that bad when there's maybe 4 waves of any sizeclass a year max at normal retail (a lot of its bulk comes from exclusives, which are split out and sub-sub-divided depending on the size of the capsules), I really don't think it's in danger there. --M Sipher (talk) 18:47, 14 March 2023 (EDT)
- In fact, having had a think about it... let's say Legacy DOES go into 4 or 5 years or so. I'd say that would actually make the problem WORSE to split the years out in the same formatting as as Evolution is now. Every year we'd be having 30-40ish percent of a screen's vertical space devoted to listing... two (2) toys. If (big if) we have to split Legacy by year in the future, I'd say the solution to compounding page layout problems is already on the page... the Velocitron assortment. Where we don't have a sample from every size class borking up layouts by forcing empty space into the thing. Where the larger, fewer-items assortments are rolled up into a single table. Also like how the G1/G2 toy pages are laid out, more or less.
- Personally I think that's a lesser solution, and I'm not exactly wild about slapping all of "wave 1" in a row then "wave 2" (it works okay with something as controlled timing-wise as an exclusive capsule line, less so with a normal retail release where product just shows up whenever, I think we'd wanna keep size classes sequential at least), but I look at the gaps caused by the Commander and Titan listings as-is and it makes me wince to think of continuing that practice over a single page for multiple years. --M Sipher (talk) 21:05, 14 March 2023 (EDT)
Now that we officially know year 3 is titled Legacy: United in addition to reliable listings of another massive Walmart subline, does the current format still work? I feel like the previous format of individual sections for each year would better present information pertaining to each year's massive Walmart subline. S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 11:17, 19 September 2023 (EDT)
- I'm afraid I have to agree with Agent 47 (and, earlier, Gherkin) that with Legacy now persisting indefinitely that delineating between years of product provides a more intuitive layout for readers with the technicalities of the name scheme being somewhat beside the point. Casual readers were already coming to the discord with complaints about difficulty parsing information on the 2023 assortment when it was just the two, and the now-overhauled Studio Series page provides a pretty clear roadmap in my view.
- With regards to whitespace concerns, perhaps the year's Commander and Titan could share some sort of "big ticket item" header and we axe the images? --AzimuthAcolyte (talk) 13:29, 19 September 2023 (EDT)
- I agree that the yearly subtitles should be delineated the way we do with Studio Series. It will be far more intuitive and reflecting of how the toyline evolved and progressed. MrRald (talk) 13:39, 19 September 2023 (EDT)

Why do we have to over complicate such simple things?
Why are we listing Evolution package refreshes separately in the individual character articles? This is not a new concept. For other cases like and/or similar to this, we just make mention in the first (and only) write up what is different (if there is anything outside of the packaging), not just list it as a full-on separate toy. Functionally, it is the same toy, just new packaging. Evolution is just a subline, in the same vein as 07's AllSpark Power and Armada's The Unicron Battles, not a new toyline. I have no problem listing the refreshes in this article, I'm just specifically talking about things like this. -- Fanofcoolstuff27 (talk) 02:42, 28 June 2023 (EDT)
