Half-Track (G1)
| This article is about the Decepticon Micromaster. For the Autobot buggy, see Half-Track (DOTM). |
- Half-Track is a Decepticon Micromaster from the Generation 1 continuity family.

The other members of the Battle Squad often refer to the unintelligible Half-Track as "Half-Wit". He's not dumb by any means, though: Half-Track just loves his job of shooting down Autobot aircraft, and his vocal processor can't keep up with his enthusiasm. As a result, his words comeouttoofastandhisteammatescnbrlyundrstndhm. Half-Track's advanced target-acquisition software increases the potency of his anti-aircraft machine guns.
Unlike most other Micromaster Combiners, Half-Track can move around under his own power in vehicle mode without having to hook up with a front-end Micromaster. This is probably for the best, as his nominal combiner partner on the Battle Squad is Meltdown, a destructive berserker who'd much rather be fighting up close and personal than picking off airborne targets from afar.[1]

Japanese Generation 1 cartoon continuity
Half-Track was an Autobot and member of the Tank Team portion of the Jet Tank W Team. Both pairs were fast in their respective battlefields and had a special gunpowder that they could use to destroy anything in their pincher attacks between land and air. Return of Convoy bio

Beast Wars: Uprising
As a Micromaster, Half-Track was one of the few Builders who were still mobile by the time of the Games and was guarding the Cortex alongside Barrage when Lio Convoy came to visit. Knowing he could never get a rise out of the Maximal, he settled for taunting Barrage with the fact that the Predacons had won the latest Game before scanning Lio Convoy's PROOF and letting him pass. - Battle Squad (Micromaster Combiner Squad, 1990)
- Half-Track transforms into a tracked anti-aircraft tank which is intended to be the rear half of a blue anti-aircraft half-track which he forms with his combiner partner Meltdown. He can, of course, be connected by any other Micromaster Combiner.
- Half-Track was only available in a six-pack with his squad mates Meltdown, Direct-Hit, Fireshot, Power Punch, and Vanquish.
- Jet Tank W Team (Micro Trailer team, 1991)
- ID number: C-369
- Accessories: Micro Trailer #9
- Half-Track is physically identical to the Hasbro-release, transforming into a Gepard anti-aircraft tank. Though Meltdown nominally forms the front half of their combined vehicle mode, Meltdown can combine with any other Micromaster Combiner, Combiner Transport or Micro Trailer in vehicle mode to form new weird vehicles.
- He was only available in a complete set with Meltdown, Fireshot and Vanquish. The set also comes with Micro Trailer #9. Like all Return of Convoy characters, he was marketed as an Autobot instead of a Decepticon.
Notes
- Meltdown and Half-Track are unique among the Micromaster Combiner molds in that as individuals, they actually transform into fully-functional separate vehicles rather than half of a vehicle.
- A half-track is a vehicle with tracks in the rear and wheels or skis in the front. So technically Half-Track's combined form with Meltdown (or basically any other Micromaster Combiner) is in fact a half-track. But on his own, he's just a tank.
