At some point, the Ilxian captain of a Tantiv-Nas-class starship bartered with the Collective and purchased Codder and Garnak to serve as shipboard custodians. Three years later after the ship crashed on LV-118, an irritated Admiral threatened to sell Codder and Garnak back to the Collective as soon they got off the planet. The Stars My Destination
