Megatron (Armada)

Megatron is a Decepticon character in the Unicron Trilogy. When in his powered-up form, is known as Galvatron.

Megatron is not content with conquest of Cybertron. When he learns of powers greater than his own, he does not attempt to merely defeat them. He will subjugate them, bend them to his will, carve up their corpse and integrate their power into himself. He is a monster. Megatron tempers this barbarism with regal militaristic formality. He calls his closest troops "gentlemen." He speaks politely and intelligently. He makes it perfectly clear that he is completely cognizant of his madness.

Megatron's only weakness is his obsession with Optimus Prime. No matter how much power he attains, his final, glorious battle must be against him. On the occasions Prime has seemingly been destroyed, Megatron has sunk into a deep depression. Once Optimus Prime is gone, there may be no further challenges in this universe.

Megatron returned in a new body comprised of the "armor of Unicron."

Megatron single-handedly mortally wounded Red Alert, Hot Shot and Scattorshot with his "Death Machine Gun". After being destroyed by Sonic Wing Optimus Prime, his Unicron-fed powers allowed him to return as a ghost composed of darkness. In this ghastly state he was able to revieve his dead solder Crumplezone as Dark Crumplezone (much to Ransack's envy), and sieze upon the insecurities of Leobreaker in order to create the Autobot's dark reflection Nemesis Breaker.

When Megatron was severely wounded by Metroplex he was able to tap into Gigantion's Cyber Planet Key and reformat himself into Galvatron.

Megatron is the cold, calculating, and above all powerful and dangerous leader of the Decepticons. Despite this, he occasionally rushes into situations without thinking; on one such occasion he was sealed in a security room and tortured nearly to death by Leader-1. Later, after Optimus Prime's sudden disappearance, he ordered an attack on Autobase, critically wounding Smokescreen in the process. When Unicron attacked, Megatron attempted to gain power from the chaos bringer. However, Hot Shot, Red Alert, and Scavenger met him there and blasted him into Unicron in order to avenge Smokescreen's recent near-death experience.
