Transformers: Age of Extinction — The EP is a promotional album featuring music composed by Steve Jablonsky for the live-action sequel Age of Extinction. The EP is a precursor to the eventual full release of the film's score, and contains themes Jablonsky wrote early in the score's development.[1] The EP was originally released only as a digital download, and was released on iTunes on June 30, 2014. The EP contains almost 20 minutes of music.
In 2024, to celebrate the film's tenth anniversary, Enjoy the Ride Records announced a vinyl pressing of the EP, limited to 1500 units split across four differently coloured discs, each with a distinct screen-printed B-side: 500 red-and-blue "Optimus Prime", 500 yellow "Bumblebee", 300 silver "Galvatron", and 200 orange "Explosion".[2]
