At some point more than 15 years ago, Cosmos was captured and mode locked by Fairmaestro. Fairmaestro hid Cosmos in plain sight by dressing his UFO alt mode up into an alien-themed tilt-a-whirl carnival ride. Over the years, a lot of gum and vomit accrued, until the day the Malto family came to visit. Fairmaestro attempted to use Cosmos’s inert form to escape with his Emberstone shard, but was pursued through the skies by Robby and Mo, riding inside Twitch and Thrash’s new combined hoverbike form. Noticing Cosmos’s Autobot insignia, the Maltos realized the UFO’s true nature, quickly locating and destroying the Restraining bolt. Finally free, Cosmos opened his floor and sent Fairmaestro plummeting, before transforming and flying down to catch him (and then dropping him into the dunk tank). As Schloder took Fairmaestro away, Cosmos introduced himself to the Maltos and thanked them for saving him. He was a little surprised to hear about Megatron’s change of heart, and subsequently flew off to rejoin the Autobots.
