At some point more than 15 years ago, Cosmos was captured and mode locked by Fairmaestro. Fairmaestro hid Cosmos in plain sight by dressing his UFO alt mode up into an alien-themed tilt-a-whirl carnival ride. Over the years, a lot of gum and vomit accrued, until the day the Malto family came to visit. Fairmaestro attempted to use Cosmos’s inert form to escape them with his Emberstone shard, but was pursued through the skies by Robby and Mo, riding inside Twitch and Thrash's new combined hoverbike form. Noticing Cosmos’s Autobot insignia, the Maltos realized the UFO’s true nature, quickly locating and destroying the Restraining bolt. Finally free, Cosmos opened his floor and sent Fairmaestro plummeting, before transforming and flying down to catch him (and then dropped him into the dunk tank). As Schloder took Fairmaestro away, Cosmos introduced himself to the Maltos and thanked them for saving him. He was a little surprised to hear about Megatron’s change of heart, and subsequently flew off to rejoin the Autobots. The Butterfly Effect

ANTI-ALIEN ALARM! NO ALIEN! NO MARCIANITO!

Cosmos took up a role monitoring comings and goings from Earth for the Autobots. He was thus able to alert Optimus when Prowl's ship approached the planet No Soldier Left Behind and tracked it after the Decepticons stole it, at least until it left visual range. Fire and Ice

He joined the other Autobots when the Quintessons arrived in their ship with the intention of claiming Robby and Mo's cyber-sleeves. He, Prowl and Megatron attempted to escort the kids as they headed for the ship, only to be forced to turn back when the Quintessons unleashed a barrage of weapon fire at them and Megatron was shot down. Judgement Day, Part 1 As part of a plan to get rid of the chaos energy unleashed by the Quintessons, Cosmos and Prowl attempted to fly Prime's modified trailer into the chaos storm, though the winds proved too much for Prowl, leaving Cosmos supporting the trailer on his own until Nightshade lent a claw and the plan succeeded. Cosmos subsequently joined the other Autobots in keeping the Quintessons occupied while Mo brought Terratronus back online, allowing the Titan to destroy the Quintesson ship. Judgement Day, Part 2
