Fengul

Fengul is an Autobot Titan Master from the Titans Return portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

I didn't want to bungle or bobble the Fengul doppel.

Fengul grants the power of optic scorch to his partner Grotusque. This is said to temporarily blind and disable his enemies. They tend to be grateful for this, as his appearance is foul enough to scar those who see him.

Titans Return Fengul is a retool of Daburu, having a new head and robot mode "backpack" with Grotusque's face. As a Titan Master, Fengul can serve as the head of any Titans Return-style Deluxe, Voyager, or Leader Class figure. He also features ports in his feet that allow him to peg onto a wide variety of Titans Return figures.

Fengul was only available in a pack with Grotusque and Scorponok. First revealed at New York Comic Con 2017 on October 5, 2017, the Grotusque set was made immediately available on HasbroToyShop.com without warning, selling out in about three hours. It was later made available at Toys"R"Us.

This figure was later re-released as Legends Platinum Tiger. It was also retooled to make Dastard / Hedgehog.

Notes

• Fengul's name was first revealed on the "Trypticon's Titan Master Crunch" poster given out at San Diego Comic-Con 2017, months before the sudden release of Titans Return Grotusque.
• His name is a slight rearrangement of the word "engulf", presumably as in "engulfed in flames".
• As his original mold is based on the Beastformer White Leo, Fengul gets a new color scheme and head based on a different Beast, Platinum Tiger. Later, they would be joined by Dastard being based on Hedgehog.
