- This story was published as the July 2024 issue of the web comic and advertised Studio Series Rise of the Beasts Bumblebee, The Transformers: The Movie Perceptor, The Transformers: The Movie Ironhide, the Transformers Fan Book 2024 set to be released two days hence, and the first collected edition of Go! Go!.
Transformers references
- This firefly-themed issue is all about the Decepticons' attempts to vaporize Bumblebee and pals with the Lightning Bug, a mysterious artifact that first appeared in the Generation 1 cartoon episode "Cosmic Rust."
- Perceptor saves the day here via canny application of Ironhide's ability to shoot liquid nitrogen via his (more versatile than it sounds) "water gun" ability originally established in his Generation 1 toy bio, remixed by Oda into a more straightforward "freeze ray" coming straight our of his hands.
