Jolt (Movie)

Jolt is a Decepticon from the live-action movie continuity family.

"The kid's got Spark. Everything else will come naturally."

Jolt had been brought to life by the creative energies of the Allspark. He sought the guidance of Barricade in order to learn the finer arts of being a Decepticon. (His alternate mode is an extremely fast, kicktailpipe vehicle; he had the killer noisemakers, and he's got the gumption. So that makes 3.) However; Barricade proceeded to beat the living Spark out of poor Jolt before that creep Frenzy made fun of him and slashed his tires. Taking his first and only lesson to heart; Jolt had graduated from the "mean and nasty" portion of his schooling and is currently on the path towards being one of the better / more evil Decepticon out there.

A Wal-Mart-exclusive redeco of Cybertron Crosswise, Jolt transforms into a Bugatti EB 15.4 Veyron sports car. The spoiler is a spring-loaded missile launcher that can fire a transluscent blue flame-shaped projectile. Plugging a Cyber Planet Key in his tailgate makes a pair of missile racks pop up from the engine bay and flip over onto his roof. He comes with a purple Planet X-type Cyber Planet Key.

This mold was also used for Cybertron Smokescreen and was retooled into the BotCon 2008-exclusive Timelines Jazz and Ricochet.

Trivia

• According to Hasbro designer Joe Kyde's design notes on Hasbro's Transformers website, Jolt was originally made as a Road Hugger homage. The name could not be secured, so the he got to be a Jolt homage, too.
