Talk:Spinister (G1)
Spinister's Earthforce death
Bludgeon, Octopunch and Stranglehold were the only prisoners the Autobots had in later issues, making it pretty clear Spinister died with the other Mayhems. If you want to throw a little ambiguity onto it, Drmick, that's fine -- but one big long note detailing everything else Simon Furman was doing with characters from then through Armada's Worlds Collide isn't necessary to make the point. --Xaaron 20:02, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
- I think I will edit the "death". Remember, Spinister "later" took a Matrix-powered-Thunderwing shot to the chest, and walked away, so I'm reckoning he's pretty resilient.
- Besides, just because he wasn't in custody doesn't mean he was killed, he was shot away from the action.
- The introduction to Spinister's is drivel, I'm sorry to say, having only a passing resemblance to his Tech Specs, and nothing to do with his comic character.
- He also appeared in a slighty apocryphal TF UK Annual story involvng Scoop. --Drmick 15:37, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
- The intro is not drivel, because our intros try to incorporate major characterisation elements from the character as they appeared in different fictions. His 'mysterious' nature is from his More Than Meets The Eye bio. --FFN 15:57, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
Funny boxart tag
And in what way is the canned meat comment funny, let alone related to the character?
I'm not fond of the humour on the pics in this wiki, but something like: "I lost my cloaking device because I left it turned on", would explain it's absence from comics continuity.

- His Targetmaster gun there is two guys in metal suits. Hence 'canned meat'. --FFN 15:57, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
I understood what canned meat referred to, I don't see it in any way as being funny. And his boxart only shows one "guy in metal suit". What's the relevance to Spinister? Why not put the same term on all the Targetmasters? In what way was he mysterious outside of the Tech Specs/Bios? Drmick 21:26, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
