Skeletron is a substance from the Kre-O continuity family.

Skeletron (スケルトロン Sukerutoron) is an invention of Wheeljack's that powers Kreons up with incredible "See-Through Power"! It's called that because Skeletron also makes your torso see-through. Wheeljack makes some weird stuff.

Wheeljack gave the Skeletron to Optimus Prime, who despite being embarrassed by his new translucent chest, was made powerful enough to defeat Megatron with a single punch. Megatron then ordered Knock Out to replicate See-Through Power, though the best he could manage was dressing Megatron up in a see-through negligee. Wheeljack's Bizarre Invention! Optimus Power Up!?

• "Skeletron" is a bit of a pun on sukesuke (透け透け), the Japanese word for "see-through".
• "Skeletron" is also the name of one of the monster mini-figures in the Kre-O Cityville Invasion toyline. Coincidence? With Hayato Sakamoto's sense of humor, hard to tell.
