The Autobots must find part of the Transwarp Key before Scourge can use it to rule the world!

Synopsis

[edit]

Living in Brooklyn with his mother and sick brother, Noah steals a car to pay for his brother's treatment, but the car ends up being Mirage! Elena does tests on a falcon statue, which crumbles to reveal part of the Transwarp Key, a signal shoots out of the key that alerts the Autobots to the location of the key. To get the key before Scourge does, Mirage sends Noah to the museum so he can retrieve it. Noah runs into the museum but Elena prevents him from getting the key, not realizing he's trying to help. Scourge blasts through the museum wall, sending his Sweeps in to get the key while the Autobots arrive outside to fight the Terrorcons. The Sweeps chase Noah and Elena to get the key, they try to drive away but are stopped by Nightbird, while Mirage tries to help, Nightbird takes the key! As the Autobots fight Scourge, Bumblebee sees that Optimus Prime is in trouble, ramming into Scourge to help, but he gets hurt. The Autobots are losing, but Airazor swoops in blasting fire, sirens suddenly go off and Scourge and the Terrorcons escape with the key! Airazor offers to help Optimus with finding the other half of the Transwarp Key to keep Scourge from ruling the world!

Differences with the movie

[edit]

"Mission at the Museum" is mostly based on the first act of the Rise of the Beasts film, set primarily in New York City. However, besides shortening the story to a few illustrated pages and making it sound much more kid-friendly than the actual movie, the book also includes some noticeable differences in comparison:

  • Wheeljack is present in the United States and is seen participating in the battle at the museum, when in the movie itself he is never seen in the United States and only joins the other Autobots when they arrive in Peru many moments later.
