Mika Akitaka (明貴 美加 Akitaka Mika) is a Japanese mechanical designer probably best known for his work on the Gundam giga-franchise, particularly critical darlings like War in the Pocket and Stardust Memory. He briefly worked as a toy designer for TakaraTomy on the original Generation 1 franchise before being snapped up by competitor Bandai after the commercial success of his designs caught their attention, perhaps a little too well.
