Cosmos loves surprises!
Synopsis
[edit]Optimus Prime and Bumblebee are stargazing outside the Autobot base when Bumblebee spots a strange "shooting star" coming their way. However, this is not a normal shooting star, but a UFO! Fortunately, before Bumblebee can panic about the possibility of being abducted by aliens, the UFO transforms and reveals itself to be the surprise-loving Autobot Cosmos returning after a long period of space research.
Cosmos hands Optimus a gift as a "space souvenir," only for it to be another of Cosmos' surprises as a jack-in-the-box shaped like an extraterrestrial flower bursts out of the box! His first returning surprise successfully delivered, Cosmos is eager to give the rest of the Autobots their own surprise as well, as they don't yet know that he's back. However, Bumblebee ushers him to the base before he can plot further...
...because the Autobots have a surprise of their own for Cosmos, a surprise party thanking him for his hard work! Overjoyed beyond words, Cosmos' jump of elation is so powerful he goes crashing through the roof and flying back into the depths of space from which he came. On a nearby cliff, an amateur human astronomer mistakes Cosmos for an actual UFO as he disappears into the starry sky.

Notes
[edit]- This comic was published in the April/May/June 2025 issue of TV Magazine and advertised the Studio Series Rise of the Beasts Mirage and The Transformers: The Movie Bumblebee toys.
- It was rerun as the July 2025 issue of the web comic, where it advertised Legacy Cosmos, the Transformers Fan Book 2024, and the first collected edition of Go! Go!.
Transformers references
[edit]- Cosmos makes his full debut here following a cameo the previous summer, sporting a character model reproducing his Legacy toy down to the transformation scheme in Oda's usual toy-accurate style.
- We get a real good look at the Autobots' home base here, based, as per our first glimpse of it, on the Kingdom toy of the Ark, coincidentally getting another hole blown in its ceiling, also as per our first glimpse of it.
