He-Man and Skeletor fight it out using the ancient custom of Transformers cliches to the death.
Plot
Bonded with the power of the Megatron Armor and the knowledge of the Decepticons, Skeletor, begins to convert the power of Grayskull into Energon cubes. Boasting about the godlike power in the palm of his hand, Skeletor is reminded by Scareglow of the bargain they struck for the expansion of Subternia. Skeletor promises to uphold his bargain, once they have drained the power of the universe from He-Man.
Just then, He-Man and Man-At-Arms arrive in their new Autobots Armor, and the Transformers-augmented warriors engage in battle. A blast from Skeletor's Havok Cannon apparently sends He-Man to his death... but he and Duncan are more powerful in their armor than ever before!
The battle manoeuvres He-Man and Skeletor to the Energon cube stockpile, where He-Man opens the Matrix in his Power Sword, restoring the power to Castle Grayskull and stripping Skeletor of his armor. Scareglow traitorously declares himself the new leader and escapes through a portal. With Skeletor in shackles, He-Man decides that "for today, let's roll out!".

Quotes
"Without the power of the universe, Castle Grayskull is just a pile of rocks."
- — The narrative captions have opinions about architecture.
"I will drain him of his power until he is nothing but another cube to be used at my want."
- — Skeletor wants to turn He-Man into a cube we guess.
"The mighty Skeletor has fallen! Now I am leader, and you shall bow to me."
- — Scareglow channels his inner Starscream.
Notes
Packed in with the second wave of Masters of the Universe x Transformers toys, this comic was printed without credits. The script was written by Mattel copywriter Robert Rudman,[1] while Marcelo Matere presumably returned to provide the artwork.
Transformers references
- The dialogue between He-Man and Skeletor borrows heavily from past Transformers fiction:
- "This ends between us, here and now." Kind of generic, but paraphrased from the pre-Optimus Prime boss battle in the Dark of the Moon console game.
- "One shall stand, one shall fall." / "Why throw away your life so recklessly?" The Optimus Prime and Megatron fight in The Transformers: The Movie. Skeletor's subsequent command for He-Men to "Now fall!" is probably inspired by the same.
- "Yield, Skeletor." / "Skeletor does not yield! He conquers!" Optimus Primal and Megatron in the Beast Wars episode "Master Blaster".
- "You're ready for the scrapheap." Optimus to Megatron in the original Transformers cartoon episode "More than Meets the Eye, Part 2".
- "Highly unlikely, He-Man!" Seemingly generic, but probably a line from Megatron in the Transformers: Prime episode "Darkness Rising, Part 5".
- "Any last words?" / "None you would want to hear." The same conversation in "More than Meets the Eye, Part 2".
- Our confidence in declaring some of the more generic quotes here as specific references stems from the fact that all of the above appear – unattributed – in a forum thread on fansite TFW2005 titled "Memorable Optimus vs Megatron quotes"... which is probably why not all of them originate from the G1 Optimus and Megatron this comic otherwise alludes to. Oops.
- Scare Glow lives up to his Starscream Armor by turning on Skeletor in a manner typical of Starscream from the original Transformers cartoon.
- He-Man opens the Matrix saying "Until all are one!"
Artwork and technical errors
- As with the previous issue, Scare Glow's name is written as "Scareglow".
- Skeletor's use of "at my want" (quoted above) is a phrase that has never before been used in the printed English language.
Continuity errors
Trivia
- Unlike its depiction here, the He-Man toy's Matrix cannot be removed from his Power Sword.
