- Honk is a Transformer from the 2019 IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Honk is an anuran Velocitronian. Yeah, we didn't think frogs were that fast either. Must be something in the energon.

[edit]As Knock Out prepared to be sworn in as Velocitron's First Senator, Honk was among the many innocent Velocitronians caught up in the chaos of the Mayhem Attack Squad's... attack. Mayhem had already sealed off the exits before storming the Senate building, so Honk and the other onlookers could only stand by and watch as the Wreckers fought to keep them safe. [edit]- Honk was conceptualized by Rebecca Ann, significant other of IDW Transformers editor David Mariotte, with artist Jack Lawrence adding the character at their suggestion.[1][2] They went unnamed in the comic, but Mariotte later confirmed that they had been named "Honk" by Ann, that they were nonbinary, and that they were actually a Triple Changer, with their third mode being a clown car.[3]
- Honk has a color palette drawn from the transgender flag.
