Liegian Darts
The Liegian Darts are the artifact of the Liege Maximo. The darts contained powerful toxins designed to incapacitate Maximo's foes in various ways once they entered the body.

Liege Maximo used his darts to poison Unicron during the Thirteen's war with the Chaos-Bringer, although they didn't hurt Unicron nearly as much as Maximo's acid tongue. The Covenant of Primus

Airachnid cited the Darts as one of the artifacts of the Primes that had gone missing after the Age of the Primes. Light/Star
EarthSpark cartoon
Upon escaping the "lightless void" that he'd been imprisoned in, Liege Maximo returned to Cybertron found the AllSpark and embedded one of his Darts in it, causing the AllSpark to begin leeching energon into itself rather than healing the planet. This allowed Liege Maximo to strictly control the Transformers' supply of energon and take control of the planet. Legacy of Hope
When the space bridge to Earth was reopened, Maximo sent Hot Rod through to retrieve the Emberstone, the Autobot using a Dart to reconstitute it from the cyber-sleeves. Hometown Heroes
When the other Autobots followed to Cybertron, Liege Maximo used the Liegian Darts to battle Optimus Prime when he made an escape from Liege's base. Robby Malto's group meanwhile found the poisoned AllSpark and removed the Dart, allowing it to start healing the planet and collapsing Maximo's plan. Legacy of Hope

- The Age of the Primes incarnation of Liege Maximo comes with three of his signature Liegian Darts cast in translucent red plastic, designed to resemble the spaceships in the art seen in the Notes below, as well as a new launcher accessory which the darts can plug into.
Notes
- While we can only speculate, a possible origin of the Liegian Darts may lie in a Geoff Senior illustration of the Liege Maximo produced for the unofficial "Alignment" story, as seen at right. This piece depicts the titanic Maximo sending forth three pointed spacecraft from his palm, and was notably reprinted in an official capacity in Transformers: The Ultimate Guide, a book which became the de facto reference text for the franchise for years afterwards. Out of context, could this image have been interpreted as a less enormous Liege Maximo firing dart weapons from his hand, thus inspiring the Liegian Darts when the time came to establish a signature artifact for each Prime? Whether true or not, Age of the Primes took it full circle and used the designs of the three ships for the Liegian Darts included with the line's Liege Maximo figure.
