Notes

[edit]
  • All the Animated tech specs were published previously: Ironhide's and Strika's were published in #24; Dirt Boss' was published in #28; Cosmos' was published in #30; and Rattletrap's, Slipstream's, Optimus Prime's, Bumblebee's, Isaac Sumdac's, and Sari's were published on the BotCon 2011 lithographs "The 'Bots" and "The 'Cons".
  • Artwork and functions for Reachout, Sureshock, Leader-1, Grindor, DUCK-E and High Wire are included with the Tech Specs, previously given in The AllSpark Almanac Addendum.
  • Characters mentioned in the Animated tech specs include: Starscream, the Seekers, the Constructicons, Megatron, Lugnut, and Shattered Glass Animated Megatron.
  • Derrick J. Wyatt provides art of Sari Sumdac's merged form with Blurr, seen in the BotCon 2015 script reading "The Return of Blurr", with Sari's role in the story being recapped in the accompanying text. Characters mentioned include: Megatron and Arcee.
  • Characters mentioned in the Headmaster Jrs'. profile include: Sentinel Magnus, Arcee, Kup, and Sari Sumdac.
    • The profile for the Headmaster Jrs. has a slightly different design, based on the packaging of the Animated toyline. One of the background drawings of Detroit from the Animated cartoon is visible in the background.
    • Nightbeat, Siren, and Hosehead are named are referred to as "Headmaster Jrs.", in reference to the subgroup of Autobots from Super-God Masterforce: Minerva, Goshooter, and Cab, who were the Japanese versions of the molds of the three's Generation 1 counterparts. Furthering the homage, the three are stated to be junior grade students of the Masterforce Academy's H.E.A.D. ON program; "Masterforce" obviously comes from Super-God Masterforce, while "Head on!" was the phrase shouted by the Headmaster Juniors when they bonded with their Transtectors. This reference extends to their motto: "We face the future, HEAD ON!".
    • Nightbeat hails from Yuss, a town first seen in the Marvel UK Transformers Annual 1991 prose story, "The Magnificent Six!"
    • The three are noted to have undergone Autobot boot camp training under the formerly retired Kup, who previously only appeared in The AllSpark Almanac II. Their tutelage under Arcee with Sari Sumdac, meanwhile, was seen in "The Return of Blurr".
    • Hosehead has a spark of "gold-pressed latinum," currency used by the Ferengi as seen in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
    • Continuing on from "The Return of Blurr", Hosehead is given more stereotypically Canadian traits; he hails from the "cold northern expanses," a location on Cybertron where energon sap is mined from crystal forests. Cause of maple trees, see?

Errors

[edit]
  • In both the tech specs and the Headmaster Jrs'. profile, "Mini-Con" is misspelled as "Minicon".
