Use the template {{referencebastard}} on a new user's talk page when they've cited a mind-numbingly unlikely "reference" to previous Transformers fiction.

ANIMATED MEGATRON HAS TWO LEGS AND SO DOES G1 MEGATRON SO IT MUST BE A REFERENCE TO TRANSFORMERS THE MOVIE OMG.

Nope... never seen anything like this before.

Two things may have some kind of vague, remote, or tiny similarity, but that alone does not a reference make. We try to avoid grasping at straws here.
