Blokees

Revision as of 18:29, 26 March 2026 by M Sipher (talk | contribs) (Classic Class: No more than four text columns in these tables.)
Let's face it, if they were allowed to make transforming figures then you'd never buy something from Hasbro again.

Blokees (布鲁可 Bùlǔkě), sometimes known as Bloks, is a Chinese toy company that produces a range of buildable action figures from different licensed properties including Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Marvel, Naruto, Sesame Street, Evangelion, Star Wars, and of course, most relevant here; Transformers.

Their effort within the franchise launched in mid-2023 with the Galaxy Version and Classic Class lines of buildable figures. This product range has expanded rapidly ever since with numerous new waves, different sublines, and the introduction of kits based around vehicles as well, with new releases for all of these dropping every few months. Known for their solid quality, high poseability and, especially; for being astonishingly cheap, Blokees' figures have been broadly well-received by collectors, resulting in the toyline earning a small cult following of sorts that one probably wouldn't expect to see around a series of ostensibly non-transforming Transformers toys.

Outside of China, these figures have seen retail distribution across territories such as Southeast Asia, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States, as well as worldwide distribution via e-commerce sites like AliExpress and Temu. Release dates listed below reflect product debuts in China; other territories may see release simultaneously, soon thereafter, or wayyyy later.

Product Lines

Classic Class

Designed as easy-to-build entry-level model kits, Classic Class (sometimes mistakenly called "Champion Class", which only applies to human/oid characters from other franchises) offers detailed 4.5-inch figures of characters across the gamut of the Transformers' cinematic history. Each figure features a torso that lights up upon shaking, causing its chest and eyes to glow. Large stands are included with every release, alongside translucent stand effects that unfortunately do not light up. Some toys are also available as part of a set, usually with a new diorama, accessories, or decoes, but each toy still retains its box.

As of September 30, 2025, at least three kits from "Rise of the Beasts" were discontinued in Mainland China, while global versions of the products continue to be released.

Galaxy Version

Galaxy Version is a series of buildable 4" figures released in nine-figure blind box waves. Focusing primarily on Generation 1 (with the occasional detour), these snap-build kits are built on a standard body template, with 22 points of articulation.

Figures are shipped in cases of nine, with a fresh case containing one of each of the nine figures in the wave. A select figure in each wave also has a chase variant which appears in one out of every four cases, featuring extra accessories and a metallic redeco/paint job.

Wave 7 introduced additional standard points of articulation and eliminated the figure stands. The 8th wave also added new tooling on the upper thighs and the knee joints. Also, the 6th wave saw the phase out of the Autobot/Decepticon symbols.

As of September 30th, 2025, the first two Galaxy Version waves were discontinued in Mainland China, while global versions of the products continue to see release.

Shining Version

Shining Version launched in early 2024, with six blind-packed figures per wave each equipped with the light-up torsos of Classic Class figures. These figures consist mostly of parts from Galaxy Version, boasting new decos and additional accessories. Starting in Wave 2, wholly new figures have been added to the mix—time will tell if these will be released in GV later.

Much like the Galaxy Version assortment, a fresh case contains one of each figure in the wave, although with Shining Version the chase variant only appears in one in six cases.

Action Edition

Launched in 2024, Action Edition delivers a larger model kit with a more involved build experience compared to their other offerings, with accessories and features galore. A sneaky magnetic component in their faction symbol blocks activates their light features, so vigorous shaking is not required.

Defender Version

Launched in late 2024, Defender Version features downright adorable buildable figures that stand roughly half the height of Galaxy Version while retaining much of the articulation. In addition, Defender introduces buildable alt modes with compatible accessories and ports. In some cases, these vehicle mode releases are designed to combine into a gestalt using an accessory set distributed through Blokees Club on WeChat.

A Defender Version case includes a full set of the wave's twelve figures, but unlike the other blind-box assortments, every case contains a chase variant, from a pool of four – two "Special Galaxy Type" variants with improved decos that each appear in five out of every twelve cases, and two variants which also add extra accessories, each appearing in one out of every twelve cases.

As of September 30th, 2025, the first Defender Version wave was discontinued in Mainland China, while global versions of the products continue to see release.

Blokees Wheels

Launched in late 2025, Blokees Wheels features buildable 1/64 scaled vehicles based on the alternate modes of various characters from other media, mainly IDW Publishing's long-running Transformers comics.

A Blokees Wheels case contains a full set of the wave's twelve kits. Each case contains a chase variant from a pool of four: two "special" variants with translucent/alternate color schemes, appearing in five out of twelve cases, and two metallic redeco variants, each appearing in one out of twelve cases. Each chase variant also comes with translucent blue Driver Figures that can ride on the vehicles, so many of them have opening roofs.

The cars are marketed as being partially constructed from Solidex, a magnetic "2.5x density new-generation compound"<ref>{{#if: High-Density Materials — solid and substantial, crafted with precision and rich in detail! |"High-Density Materials — solid and substantial, crafted with precision and rich in detail!"—|}}{{#if: https://x.com/BlokeesOfficial/status/1987331808086679980 |Blokees|Blokees}}{{#if: Twitter |, Twitter|}}{{#if: |, ""|}}{{#if: 2025 |, 2025{{#if: 11 |/{{#switch:{{#len:11}}|1=011|11}}{{#if: 09|/{{#switch:{{#len:09}}|1=009|09}}|}}}}|}}{{#if: https://x.com/BlokeesOfficial/status/1987331808086679980 ||}}{{#switch:{{#sub:https://x.com/BlokeesOfficial/status/1987331808086679980%7C7%7C11}}%7Cweb.archive= (archive link)|}}{{#switch:{{#sub:https://x.com/BlokeesOfficial/status/1987331808086679980%7C8%7C11}}%7Cweb.archive= (archive link)|}}{{#switch:{{#sub:https://x.com/BlokeesOfficial/status/1987331808086679980%7C7%7C10}}%7Carchive.is= (archive link)|}}{{#switch:{{#sub:https://x.com/BlokeesOfficial/status/1987331808086679980%7C8%7C10}}%7Carchive.is= (archive link)|}}{{#if: | (dead link)}}</ref> to evoke the feeling of die-cast cars like Hot Wheels. Some of them also come with extra accessories. The small instruction card included with each kit lists their Tech Specs as "HP", "ATT", "SPD" and "INT".

X Yearly Version

Released every December starting in 2023, the X Yearly Version sets feature Galaxy Version figures slathered in delicious metallic gold paint in homage to the G1 episode "The Golden Lagoon". Light up torsos and extra accessories in the vein of Shining Version are also included. 2026's Dinobot Desertion set bucked the trend a bit by instead featuring a mix of Galaxy Version and Defender Version figures in a combination of metallic gold and silver, loosely based on the iconic deco of the Dinobots.

The first set was known to suffer from Gold Plastic Syndrome in the joints. This was remedied in subsequent sets by changing the hinges to a mustardy plastic rather than gold.

Sharkticon Storage Box

Initially distributed as gifts with purchase with Action Edition Optimus, and given out in further GWP promotions thereafter, the Sharkticon Storage Boxes are a whimsical accessory storage solution in the form of a Sharkticon. The Sharkticons in both sizes come in opaque blue, translucent blue, and translucent pink.

Notes

  • All pegs and peg holes are 3.4mm, which is 0.4mm larger than the regular 3mm ports/posts. This means any accessory with that peg size will be too large for Hasbro-produced Transformers with regular 3mm compatibility.
  • In addition to the class types listed above, Blokees also released the "Starlight Edition" (or "Warrior Version") lineup, featuring characters that are half the size of the Galaxy/Shining Version kits and released exclusively for other franchises such as the Herospire and Kamen Rider line. To date, Blokees' Transformers line has yet to introduce this class type.
  • Since the Defender Version kits included instructions on collectible cards starting with the third wave, it can be difficult to identify the correct parts due to the small image size. Fortunately, the official Blokees website provides separate, higher-quality instructions for each product.
