The Autobots grow concerned as Metalhawk's Star Sabre begins to act weird.

Synopsis

[edit]

Metalhawk comments that the power of his Star Sabre has been fluctuating as of late, which makes Alpha Trion concerned as it could mean the Thirteen Primes are trying to take it from him. Melody Keen suggests that it may be Megatronus Prime. Metalhawk explains that, through his symbiotic connection to his weapon, he senses another force. Ultra Magnus lists a few of their litany of foes, while Optimus Prime suggests there may be another Prime involved that hasn't shown themselves yet. Metalhawk decides to follow this force's pull to find the source of the problem, but Trion and Laser Optimus remind him that this may be a trap, and they can't risk losing the Star Sabre as it's now their only line of defense against Prime-level threats. When asked what they should do, Melody suggests she give Vector Prime a call. Prime orders Ultra Magnus to help Metalhawk with his investigation and bring some back-up with them. Grimlock propses that the Dinobots be the back-up in question.

Gameplay

[edit]

This event was an individual totaliser, meaning players earned points and unlocked prizes on their own as opposed to with their Alliance.

The top prize was a single Shard Crystal, and due to the event having 50 prestiges, they could be earned multiple times.

Notes

[edit]
  • Story dialogue would finally return in a proper manner after months of not being released with events and having to be put out retroactively in large compilations. However, said dialogue was only labeled as "The Saga's Latest (Part 1 of 2)", with the second half of the content being stretched out to the next event.

Continuity notes

[edit]
  • As with many other dialogues centered around the characters talking instead of fighting, the many antagonists of the past few sagas are namedropped, specifically Megatronus Prime (who tried to take the Requiem Blaster and Forge of Solus Prime in "Third Armada (Part 2)" and has most recently placed one of his agents undercover in the Earth Wars), Bomb-Burst (who once possessed the Blaster and has begun working with Megatronus as of late), Sentius Malus (who, along with his brother, has been watching recent events play out this whole time), and the three Megatrons (all of whom have been fighting over the Artifacts of the Primes since they were introduced into the war).
  • Optimus Prime hints at another Prime being the external force Metalhawk senses; this is Prima Prime, who will be properly introduced later in this saga in "Prime of Primes".
  • Alpha Trion reminds both us and his fellow Autobots that the Forge of Solus Prime and Requiem Blaster are both, at least at present, unable to used by any party. At the end of the previous saga, the Forge chose neither Melody nor Luca to be its next wielder and disappeared afterwards, while Solus Prime revoked Megatronus' access to the Blaster, causing it too to go away for the time being.

Errors

[edit]
  • When Metalhawk asks what they should do, Melody suggests that they reach out to Nexus Prime; presumably, she was supposed to mention Vector Prime, who has already been introduced into the game and who Melody actually has contact with. (We have corrected this in the synopsis.)
