Notes

[edit]
  • Kaplan was interviewed for a special feature on Kid Rhino's The Transformers Season 2 Part 1 DVD set... Despite not actually appearing on that show.
  • Kaplan has claimed that he was once called in to record dialogue for Robots in Disguise Megatron when Daniel Riordan was unavailable, although for what episode this might have been is unknown.
  • Kaplan had originally auditioned for X-Brawn, Slapper and Gas Skunk before he was cast as Optimus Prime, a role he didn't even audition for but ultimately was cast as.[1] [2]
  • During the RID recording sessions, Kaplan would sometimes burst into a Bullwinkle inspired voice called "Optimoose" much to the chagrin of ADR director Michael McConnohie.
  • Kaplan would also reprise Optimus Prime for several of the Robots in Disguise (2001) Commercials.
  • In 2024 Neil Kaplan provided an unofficial voice over narration for the HasLab Omega Prime promotional video as well backed the Omega Prime HasLab figure.
