- Mainframe was officially revealed in a March 09 blog post by Derrick J. Wyatt.
- He is an obvious homage to the Generation 1 Action Master of the same name., and like his G1 counterpart, he does not transform. Aww. [1] If he did, however, he would transform into a Cray supercomputer.
- According to Wyatt's twitter feed, Mainframe "is totally in the show because Trent Troop bought me the toy at last year's Botcon." [2]
