Leyland is a Decepticon from the Operation Combination portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Leyland combines with his teammates to form the mighty Battle Gaia, making up the brunt of the Decepticon forces commanded by Scrash.

Leyland --like the entire Battle Gaia team-- is never shown as an individual robot, only as a limb to the team's combined super robot form.

• Battle Gaia (Decepticon, 1992)

Available only as part of the Battle Gaia giftset, Leyland is a redeco of the Combaticon Swindle, transforming into a XR311 Combat Support Vehicle. He can form an arm or leg to any Scramble City-style combiner, but his standard placement is as the right leg to Battle Gaia.

The same mold is used by Robots in Disguise Rollbar.

Trivia

• Leyland was presumably named after the British <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Leyland" class="extiw" title="wikipedia:British_Leyland">motor company</a> that manufactured trucks and buses as well as the Land-Rover and other military jeep-stye vehicles.
