Opinions

I don't think you understand the purpose of Wikis. They serve to report on stuff. They don't serve to "fill-in" plot holes. We present official evidence and information and allow the reader to come to their own conclusions. Allowing any editor to push their own opinion is, frankly, a mess that we don't need. Ha ha ha... the ironic counterpoint of the other recent wikisnit- "stop making our captions boring and descriptive." Man... I'm glad I'm comfortable with my own level of hypocrisy. -Derik 09:29, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Flyers

Those articles are awesome. Keep it up. Interrobang 23:01, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

Thank you; I appreciate that. Almost all the flyers that I know existed, I have in my possession. I want to eventually scan in all the S.T.A.R.S.-related ones, but it's just a matter of finding the time. Eventually... - Jackpot 04:49, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Hey, I appreciate what you said on MediaWiki talk:Monaco-sidebar about being argumentative and everything. I hope I'm not coming across as trying to push the community into something you don't want to do. I don't usually get this involved in discussions about sidebars and customization. I'm just hanging around on this wiki and participating in these discussions because I like the site. I've got access to some stats and some experiences from other wikis, and I want to offer those up if they're helpful. I like that the people on this wiki are all cranky and funny and opinionated, so I want to help out if I can. -- Danny<staff /> (talk) 21:24, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for saying that. I do think that you're at a disadvantage when it comes to your perception here, since you are an outsider who has just made a substantial change to the wiki. Whatever the rights and wrongs of it, that's simply how it is, so it's a bit of an uphill battle for you. I can't by any means speak for anybody but myself, but I personally appreciate the input you've given (even if we have disagreements), and I've certainly adjusted to Monaco. I'm happy to see where we can take it as a tool. - Jackpot 05:35, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

Cog

Just wanted to make sure you didn't miss this on the Recent Changes index. --Monzo 09:32, 17 January 2009 (EST)

STARS II

Since you have been reorganizing/updating the STARS stuff, I thought you'd want to see this.

I got the scans from Zobovor. --Monzo 21:15, 6 February 2009 (EST)

Awesome, thank you! I'll certainly be making a page out of that... - Jackpot 15:23, 7 February 2009 (EST)

Community Portal Archives

If you look in the giant tar.gz of unprocessed cache files on the Damage Control Central, in it is a folder called "Transformers Wiki" that has, among other things, the Community Portal Talk archives I saved. --Jeysie 17:55, 23 March 2009 (EDT)

The Disambig discussion pages

I ran into the problem that, if I run them through Abates' processor, they're all properly wikied except that the indentation's all screwy. Likewise, if I use Derik's processor, the indentation is correct (I think... it's a bizarrely threaded thing), but the wikilinks are all HTML. Sigh. Since IIRC you tackled the Community Portal archives OK, would you maybe be able to figure out how to get them sorted?

Also, the reason I wanted to find the bit on my userpage a permanent place is that, if you're going to reference it in debates, it's a lot easier to remember something that's connected to a Main or Help/Wiki namespace somewhere than it is something that's connected to some random user's userpage. --Jeysie 19:59, 20 April 2009 (EDT)

Yeah, go ahead and use Derik's processor. HTML is far easier to sort out than indentation. As for finding a home for your Sandbox stuff, I really don't have any ideas off the top of my head. I'm still perfectly happy leaving it connected to your userpage; I know I'LL remember it, at least. - Jackpot 21:01, 20 April 2009 (EDT)
