Megatron joke

The monsters in MMPR always started out human-sized. Then, at some point, Rita throws her staff down from the Moon shouting "Make my monster grow!". The staff lands in the ground and energy shoots out of it, making the monster enormous. The laser effects around Megatron's cannon in that picture look a lot like the staff. Here is a YouTube clip of it: [1]. Honestly, it's not a big deal to me, but the old joke doesn't really make any sense in the first place. It seems to be a premature ejaculation joke to go along with his cannon firing, but it's not like there's anybody else in the picture for the innuendo to be complete. I think the observation our anonymous editor made about the resemblance to the staff is actually pretty clever. A rare instance of somebody changing a joke for the better, IMO. --Steve-o 16:20, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

Huzzah! I have a talk page now! Anyway, thanks for clearing it up... I didn't get the ressemblance of Bandora's staff to the laser blast effects of Megatron's cannons... At least I understood the previous joke, wasn't all that funny but it made sense without the explanation. -Detour 16:54, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

Revert Revert

Slaggit! This is like, the fourth time this has happened to me. I SPECIFICALLY checked with a preview when I was about to make the reversion, and it did NOT tell me any edits had been made since I'd started mine. Apologies for the confusion and annoyance, but I am definitely not doing this on purpose...--Apcog 23:39, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

No worries. I know it wasn't your fault. I'm pretty sure this happened to me at least once as well. --Detour 16:11, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. That actually makes me feel a lot better about it.--Apcog 16:23, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

Treatment

Hey, it's not uploaded anywhere anymore (but Don Murphy has no issues with us handing it around). I can send you the PDF, but I need your email. --FFN 22:42, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

Nunchakus

His name is "Michelangelo". :) --Sntint 14:38, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

My bad. Haven't watched TMNT since the original toon. And I was never into Renaissance art or whatever era the artist namesake was from. --Detour 02:28, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Airazor caption

Hi. I was wondering what was wrong with the old caption for the Airazor photo.

Essentially, there's nothing wrong with the toy so criticizing it like that is pointless. --Detour 08:29, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
Okay. I didn't think the caption was meant as a criticism of the toy. I thought it was meant to point out that though she was designed as a female figure, she didn't really turn out looking any more female than any other Transformer (excluding Arcee and Thunderblast). But humor is subjective, and what I find somewhat funny might not seem funny at all to someone else.
Airazor was designed as a male figure. The toy/character only became female on the insistence of the show writers. --Monzo 09:15, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
We're talking about the caption for the Transmetal figure. I thought that one was designed from the start to be female.
... oh! Did not realize. Sorry. Ignore me. --Monzo 09:51, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Blurr

He is known to be a member, which should be enough, but he is also known to appear again later in the season, both through the footage from Dubai and the teasers released on the blog. That's why I said that I believed that it ws exception enough if he wasn't a member, it wouldn't need to be moved, but both together seem to be compelling enough.KrytenKoro 16:56, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Look at your talk page, anything Dubai-related should not be discussed here in any capacity. We are not gloryhounds like Seibertron trying to be the first ones to announce every single giant spoiler of every single piece of media. --Detour 19:49, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
That's great, but that's not what I am trying to say. He was announced as a character a while ago, before Dubai, and on one of the creator blogs. He's known to be in the Elite Guard, and we even know who his American voice actor is. We've even had him make his first appearance. Dubai just confirmed an episode he reappears in. That's all I'm trying to say - that we know he's in the guard, and we have confirmation from various sources of a future appearance. Hell, that we've listed his voice actor should be confirmation enough.
And I didn't make the edit to spread spoilers - I did it to add info to a wiki, when the info is confirmed. Yes, we should not be obsessed with news, but neither should we put blinders on and wait until info is months or years old. (Hyperbole, but you get my point)KrytenKoro 22:05, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Rabbicrater Edits

Just FYI, the edits HooperX made were capitalizing on the fact that Rabbicrater looks like his name contains the word "rabbi", when in fact it's meant to be most of the word "rabbit". The caption gag of "L'chaim" thus becomes more obvious, though I like the current one better. As for the miscellaneous trivia, I think it's an attempt at a callback to one of the final scenes from the Mel Brooks film History of the World, Part 1. So not TOTAL nonsense.--Apcog 14:16, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

Oh, well I don't know much about Judaism so "L'chaim" is kind of flying over my head right now (and I believe even if explained, the Yaoi Kiss Players joke will still be funnier)... And the misc trivia, well History Of The World Part 1 is one of the Mel Brooks films I have not yet had the pleasure of watching... Even then, it's kind of out of place in the same paragraph as the info about the rabbit on the moon... if Hooper wants to bring it back I would suggest he add another asterisk paragraph to point it out... --Detour 15:11, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
Long story short, a robot with the word "Rabbi" in his name, even if it actually has to do with "rabbit" is ripe for Judaism gags. "L'Chaim!" is a traditional exclamation of celebration. Originally, I was just gonna put the lyrics to Hava Nagila up there, but hey. The Kiss Players thing I had to stop and stare at - the two dudes humping are kind of cut out of the frame. But hey, whatever. -hx 15:15, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
FWIW, "L'chaim" is a traditional Hebrew version of "Cheers!" and literally means "To life!" I'm up for ethnic humor as much as the next previous guy, but I still find the KP gag funnier in this case. The thought of "Hava Negila" lyrics as a caption does make me grin, though...--Apcog 16:05, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

Real Gear hairdryer

Good you took that out for now, I was just too exited to post a unreleased toy for the Movie line, so I did not stop to check if it was real or not. I'm currently looking for more info on it and will put that back up once I found proof. By the way, what do the read minus numbers next to your edit mean?Dead Metal 12:42, 30 May 2008 (UTC) -Edit, I fell for a joke! it was just a joke to take the piss of the US toy gun law.Dead Metal 19:03, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

Mayhem Suppression Squad‎

Hello ^^ I removed the Category: Shattered Glass characters from the Mayhem Suppression Squad‎ members because Category:Mayhem Suppression Squad‎ is already under Category: Shattered Glass characters. Just like Killbison only under Category:Breastforce which is contained by Combiners, Decepticons, and Victory characters. --TX55TALK 00:49, 22 April 2009 (EDT)

1989 Character Models

Howdy! I saw the Bumblebee & Jazz pretender models. Do you happen to have higher resolution versions of these images that you'd be willing to share with me? Do you have any more images from this era? (The Ark III needs your help!) --Jimsorenson 21:04, 23 April 2009 (EDT)
